First, mmm, tuna sashimi. I made it to the fish counter, where they have sashimi grade tuna. A slab of tuna, soy sauce and wasabi, and I am in heaven!
I did not get dehydrated at flipside. Actually, my hydration percentage was up after the even, and my body fat percentage went down 3%. The scale didnt move, which further reinforces the idea that the scale is not everything. That 3% change is the equivalent of losing 7 pound of fat, and gaining 7 pounds of muscle or water. I'll take muscle or water any day!
I did drink a lot of gatorade, so my calories were probably high, but I also needed stamina and energy for walking around in the heat. It was 106, in the SHADE!
I also lost a pound the next day after getting back, so it was probably water.
My goal is now to lose 6 pounds by June 20th. That will put me at 50% EWL at 6 months. My previous goal was 100 pounds by my birthday (July 9th), which is 24 pounds in 6 weeks. At 4 pounds per week, I dont think that will happen. But, 100 pounds by the time school starts again (End of August) I think is doable. We shall see.
I dont really like the focus on the scale. But, it is something that is keeping my food options accountable. Argh, HAES dissonance!
